Method:
The preparation of 2-([1,1 '-biphenyl]-2-yl)propanoic acid can be carried out by the following route:
1. The esterification of 1,1 '-biphthalic acid (1,1'-biphenyl-2,2 '-dicarboxylic acid) and iminoethyltriethoxysilane (fluorene) was carried out under alkaline conditions, 2-([1,1'-biphenyl]-2-yl)propanoic acid ethyl ester (2-([1,1 '-biphenyl]-2-yl)propanoate) was obtained.
2. Then, 2-([1,1 '-biphenyl]-2-yl)propanoic acid ethyl ester was hydrolyzed with dilute acid to obtain the target product 2-([1,1'-biphenyl]-2-yl)propanoic acid.
